Washington D.C. singer/songwriter Billy Coulter’s distinctive style straddles the line between Roots Rock and Power Pop. Blending diverse influences from Springsteen and Petty to Lennon and Bowie he’s created a fresh, authentic sound with a nod to the classics that inspired him. Coulter quickly made a name for himself with his unique songwriting and vocals winning 20 Washington Area Music (WAMMIE) Awards including Album of the Year (Dose), Song of the Year (Party of One), Songwriter of the Year, two Roots Rock Recordings of the Year and several for Roots Rock Vocalist. His engaging live performances have graced the stages at some of the region’s top venues and festivals including Rams Head, The Birchmere, Strathmore,The Hamilton and regional festivals, often supporting national acts.

Billy's band draws from some of Washington D.C.'s finest musicians including drummer Doug Tull (Tommy Keene, Razz),  lead guitarist Max Evans (Ugly Americans) and often accompanied by Brian Simms on keyboards (Junkyard Saints).
